I put this here so as not to offend the more serious minded. A man climbs to the top of mount Sinai to get close enough to talk to god.Looking up,he asks the lord.Dear god, what does a billion years mean to you?'The lord replies..a minute'. The man says what does a billion dollars mean to you..the lord replies,a 'penny'..the man asks'can I have a penny'the lord replies,in a minute.'

Man walks into a bread shop, says, "One loaf please."

"White or brown?" asks the baker.

"No thanks. I've got my bike outside."

LOL

quite so . . but I am in total support

Dhirendra, as a proponent of that belief system called science, have you even investigated the question or do you react from that peculiarly anxious and endearing state that perfectly befits the modern materialist?

Actually, please u-tube Piers Corbyn on the subject. He is an expert in the field. See what you then think.

This is the problem Ganesan. Quantum science cannot say anything. It is a vehicle in which people travel. Science is not a thing out there. It is a complex set of human relationships, driven in a certain manner.

We always say, "Science says . . ." but science cannot say. Scientists say. That is, a certain interest group playing a certain life-game.

Dhirendra appears to have a belief in the purity of the process, but that same process is based upon human relationships between individuals competitively obsessed with finding answers to unanswerable questions.

People must actually look at what science is in the world today and do not rely upon well-worn and worn out philosophical formulae. Science is a rat race.

When Dhi said that the influence of the moon on the earth was a matter only to joke about, he shows the inclination of the scientist to belittle that which does not fit whatever is the currently dominant paradigm.

Are you saying, Dhirendra, that scientists do not believe in the power of their theories? Just take a look at how the IPCC works. In today's world science has become politics, propaganda and big money. Don't let that man fool you.
