To meet one self ,one needs an appropriate surrounding. A simlpe and quiet life also, without complications and contradictions. Otherwise the world is too much present. "I" and personality are superimposed to one's true nature and doesn' t meet anything

limit your interests and your activities to what is needed for you and your dependants' barest needs. Save all your energies and time for breaking the wall your mind has built around you.

Hi Kelly Alamanou,
Interesting proposal.Simple and quiet life without contradictions and complications,
is it a hermit``s life? Or is it an escapists life?To achieve that one should first of all shed the"I"thoughts or the referrent "I" and be bereft of desire, ambition, achievement, the whole rigmarole of everyones so called NORMAL-LIFE. With all this media-circus through internet, TV,Newspapers continouosly bombarding ones inner core, this would be an "ideal" thing. How ,many of our fellow JK-Forum- persons are having such a life or would opt for it?.....

Hi Krishnan
.." is it a hermit``s life? Or is it an escapists life?"
neither one nor the other.
For me It can be a perfectly normal life, but one must have a passion for it.
Then is possible to live Into the world but live your own way.

Ps: sorry if my english is not very correct.

limit your interests and your activities to what is needed for you and your dependants' barest needs. Save all your energies and time for breaking the wall your mind has built around you.

Living ones own way with passion for simple noncomplicated life sounds like an "ideal"- I wish you all success with your passionate normal/simple life...
But from the lessons of my life hitherto, I better not plan anything at all... leave it to the vagaries of the weather of" my little individual mind" that is caught up within the whirwind of Universal MIND----I do not know which one decides... it is like the air in an empty jar.neither the shape of the jar nor the air within and without have any bearing really. All ILLUSIONS!

Hi Kelly, K did say that one must have space,or solitude, the question it seems is,can simplicity be cultivated?, or is simplicity what is,when self is not?

Hi Rick

In my opinion no, simplicity can not be cultivated.
yes simplicity is, what is when the self is not.

I think one need space and Inwrad investigation and earnestness to reach this state where the self is not.

limit your interests and your activities to what is needed for you and your dependants' barest needs. Save all your energies and time for breaking the wall your mind has built around you.

Hi Kelly, To reach this state implies,to become,a future state, which in turn implies time, and thought, or self once again. So it seems that it could be a case of "it's now or never". Any movement away from now,is the movement into further illusion,as in I will be this,or I could have been that,is it not?

Hi Rick
uderstanding is not become.
Understanding has helped me a lot to reach a state with a low ego profile.

limit your interests and your activities to what is needed for you and your dependants' barest needs. Save all your energies and time for breaking the wall your mind has built around you.
