Religion demolishes compassion, concentrates wealth and resources in the hands of few, empowers governments, murders dissidents and is judge and jury of all. Religion is humanity?s bitter curse. This is the world we share and if there in truth in JK?s teachings I am that, I am the world. To change that (or is to perceive something different?) the network of the I- Time-Thought dissolves. What emerges? Is it a world without war, division, inequality, slaughter, starvation or is it a person who can live more tranquilly in this insanity?

I think religion is the seed of all division and disorder. It is used to organize empires, subjugate and isolate. All religions, equally, are sources of conflict and are detrimental in their final outcome.

I want to thank everyone for your views and contributions to this topic. I will be traveling several weeks and not have immediate access to the internet. JK has left us in the hands of the ultimate teacher, ?what is?. I look forward to returning to this forum soon.

Firstly, welcome Zahira. It's great to have here.

Yes, very insightful observations Zahira on religion, and I share them with you. If we are able to get rid of this thing called religion(the man-made one) through insight and keen observation into how it has wrecked havoc in the so called evolution of man, dividing him against his fellow members, then we may actually free ourselves from a lot of burden, the superstition, myth and from blindly following, worshiping an image, an idol, or belief system. And it may help bring about individuals whom the society cannot influence, those who have the integrity to stand alone and live with out conflict and fear.

Thank you. I look forward to hearing you as well.

Doing things religiously is just human nature. We all have our addictions, healthy and unhealthy. I suspect the "bitter curse" is meeting the enemy and not recognizing ourselves. I think its rooted in our ability to feel better about ourselves by tearing down others. What does one resent more the bitterness? or the sweetness?

Health care is everyone's job, not just in treating illness but in promoting healthy living. We must take personal responsibility, engaging our minds and hands in meaningful work - all essential components of healthy, secure lifestyles and communities.
