Close - but somewhat misquoted.

"Til" implies time - becoming.

It is important for quotes to be correct. Words are already confusing enough - if one is going to quote, at least be accurate.

Go to the source my friend. It is a mistake to rely upon misinformed quotations.

K was so careful with what he said and gave out.

The quote was a reply by Krishnamurti to a friend during an informal conversation. i found it to be very true in my own life. When you have a glimpse of the divine, it makes you restless till one is naturally and effortlessly established in it. All our sadhana and efforts are for that. Till we are effortlessly established in the timeless , we are inevitably in Time, with perhaps brief visits to the timeless. We should see things as they are and what is actually happening to us, rather than be paralysed by being caught in concepts.

Till we are empty of the contents of our consciousness we cannot be effortlessly in the timeless. when we live our life with awareness without accumulation , we move towards the state of What may be called Sahaja Samadhi or Timeless state.

Freedom from the Self is the true function of Man

The exact quote is this:

"What are you going to do with your life sir? If you have touched the other, and are not anchored in it, you will go to pieces."
(K to Asit Chandmal. January 1986, just before he finally left India for California, and a few weeks before his death)
