Have the teachings attributed to the great teachers - Christ, Buddha, Hermes and others - any value for the attainment of the direct path to truth?

I can see more often how my conditioning distorts my perception, and also how I have tried to defend my illusions about people, places, and things.with K all excuses are just that! I find that being so heavily conditioned,I fall back asleep alot. For me right now, just to be aware that I am unaware is a huge eyeopener. I feel that every thing in my life so far has happened to prepare my mind for this. I happened to see a video of K on a local public t v station, the i read the power of now, in which K was mentioned. So far I have read and reread the 6 or 7 books, I must admit it was difficult to follow at first, however the more I pay attention to my thoughts the easier it becomes to see the ramifications of the unobserved mind.So in closing I am glad that I recently bought a computer so as to make access to others interested in K,s work possible.

The Kinfonet Interview

Do you think it advisable to introduce Krishnamurti to people you know? Have you ever done it and if yes, what are your experiences?

Yes , and yes.I do so in a round about way, because as K himself stated 80% or better are not interested, most think it,s buddest or esoteric. So I try to as the opportunity presents itself. Many persons get upset or angry when you try and posit life in a big picture sort of way.THere seems to be a tremendous amount of emotional investment in personal points of view. After all K also said we are not much more that monkey,s interested in our own reflections in the mirror of our own minds. Most people want someone else to solve their issues.

Do you think it is possible to make Krishnamurti more "practicable" than what he himself seems to have allowed for?

Do you ever feel that you have been conditioned by Krishnamurti's teachings?

no, they are all put to the test in relationship,in daily life, or as he would say (IT IS THERE)

Does the phrase "living the teachings" have any meaning to you?

aPART FROM LIVING THE TEACHINGS, ALL YOU WOULD HAVE IS A COLLECTION OF IDEA,S.

NOW THAT I HAVE A COMPUTER, ACCESS IS MUCH BETTER, MOSTLY READING HIS BOOKS AND VIDEOS.

Are there any aspects of Krishnamurti's teaching that you find implausible or difficult to accept?

NO, IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES OF THAT KIND IT IS DUE TO MY CONDITIONING.

Krishnamurti once said you must begin with doubt, but that doubt must be kept on a leash. How do you find the proper balance between doubt and a "positive disposition" in investigating his proposals, so as to neither tie yourself up in knots, nor to blindly believe?

THROUGH OBSERVATION OF LIFE AS IT PRESENTS IT,S SELF,WITHOUT THE ME AS A CENTER. IT IS THERE REGARDLESS OF MY OPINION OF IT!

What future do you foresee for Krishnamurti's works? Do you think they will grow in importance or will they just gradually die away?

i Hope they grow,I do not believe they will die out.Unlike some persons in the past, we are fortunate to have reliable information,in our own lifetime right from the source, and a lot of it.There is not any room for the core of the message to be lost because of personal points of view corrupting K,s original intent here. He made himself quite clear on all the usual ways that can happen. No organizing , as in church , or any other absolute authority. No leaders, gurus, ect.

Do you think Krishnamurti was exceptional, or is the transformation he spoke of universally accessible?

BOTH, To the first part,He lived the way he spoke, plain and simple, and if you look at human beings few could honestly say the same! Is it universally accessible, yes. Who what when and perhaps how are questions I am currently unable to guess.I would say that to see you are , we are all heavily conditioned, that the preoccupation with ourselves, prevents true relationship would be needed. I had aperson tell me at one time that FEAR means, FALSE EXPECTATIONS APPEARING REAL, is important in relation to fear being the chief reason we all escape into illusions in the first place.

How important do you consider group dialogue to be in understanding the more subtle points of Krishnamurti's message?

I do not know for certain. It could be helpful because you can deceive yourself, and a person might spend a lot of energy in needless inner conflict, over some form that the conditioning may cause. With that being said, IT seems as if K was very firm that this was and is an inner task.Seeing as how there seems to be a certain amount of aloneness needed, Having the ability to share thoughts on the subtle points makes sense as well.

Can dialogue - in the sense of sincere inquiry - be organized or can it only come about spontaneously, unprompted?

both, sharing information, and observations in a sincere attempt to better understand the message K brought could be very helpful. But it seems to me that the majority of the leaning would take place in the day to day interactions of life.

If you had to sum up what Krishnamurti is all about in just a few words of your own, what would they be?

Has coming into contact with Krishnamurti and his teachings had any perceptible effect on your life and/or relationships?

yes, to again borrow from K himself, I'm o.k. with it, meaning of course life.I I find that when i stay in the present moment, I do not worry as much, when I do not make everything a personal issue, I am without serious conflict.
