Member Statement

I have been deeply interested in J.K's teaching since 1963. In 1963 a sudden transformation occured in my mind and everything I loved, cherished and considered important evaporated from my mind when I read a few talks of J. Krishnamurti. The whole thing happened in about 7 days time. Since then I have never looked back. I attended his talks in Delhi for two or three years and once I received an invitation from someone to be with Krishnamurti in 1985 winter in Madras - the oportunity I missed and I feel rather sad about it.

Do you ever feel that you have been conditioned by Krishnamurti's teachings?

I am not sure about this? May be or perhaps may be not.

Yes, I feel unburdened tremendously and that has given me lot of energy.

Personal study and books containing dialogues with men like David Bohm, Pupil Jayker, Sundnanda Patwardhan etc etc

Are there any aspects of Krishnamurti's teaching that you find implausible or difficult to accept?

Non-mechanical part of the brain he talked about is still a difficult concept to understand.

How do you strike a balance between healthy doubt and ready acceptance in investigating Krishnamurti's proposals?

I do not find anydifficulty in this. I donot understand exactly what is meant by positive disposition.

In group discussion there is always a possiblility of seeing something which one may have misseed already.

If you had to sum up what Krishnamurti is all about in just a few words of your own, what would they be?

He seems to have gone much further than any other human being before him in history. He has been through the ultimate reality the Man(in various fields of human endvour) has since been trying to find out and would never succeed.

Does the phrase "living the teachings" have any meaning to you?

This is the only thing which has a meaning- all other things is just an intelecatual stuff for playing about and have any no validity.

It has to come spontaneously and unpromted.

Do you think it advisable to introduce Krishnamurti to people you know? Have you ever done it and if yes, what are your experiences?

I have done on very rare occasions because people are not interested.
they all want to maintain the 'self' and there are lots of gurus who do this job for them and that is very comforting to them. In just one or two instances I found that somebody took interest in this new revolutionary teaching.

Yes, K was exceptional, the transformation he spoke about is thoug is universally accessible, but it needs much more to be done on this count.

What future do you foresee for Krishnamurti's works? Do you think they will grow in importance or will they just gradually die away?

His teching will surely grow in importance but this will take lot of time, may be 100 years or more as the teaching are much ahead of time.

Do you think it is possible to make Krishnamurti more "practicable" than what he himself seems to have allowed for?

Perhaps it is possible if one is able to express his teaching in one's own way and use science and other fields to show the results which bring about his teaching more clearly in certin respects.
