Topic: Under total awareness, fear changed into bravery&courage

I agree that the girl acted with remarkable courage and the situation brought out that extraordinary courage. Was she in a state of total awareness during the act? Was the whole responding through her in that situation? I wonder if the act has brought about any permanent transformation in her. In today's newspaper, i read that she wants a regular job in the CRPF( govt security forces) .

Topic: Can we consider Krishnamurti as continuity of Budha

Teachings of any enlightened teacher coming from the source will be original. It may not be anything new but it will be original and expressed in its own unique way. Buddha and Krishanmurti had both touched the source and the teachings emerged from that according to the needs of the age.

I find that there is a common thread to all the teachings of all enlightened teachers, in that they all emphasise the need for the ending of the ego or the false self and abidance in the true self or choiceless awareness. How to bring this about or how it is brought about is the aim of all the teachers. The teachings and methods vary according to the time, type of people around, the geography and innumerable other factors.

Any identification with a particular teaching or text is a hindrance to the understanding of what is. Only an unconditioned mind can see truth.

If you have touched the other, you will go to pieces till you are anchored in it

Topic: Krishnamurti one liner

The quote was a reply by Krishnamurti to a friend during an informal conversation. i found it to be very true in my own life. When you have a glimpse of the divine, it makes you restless till one is naturally and effortlessly established in it. All our sadhana and efforts are for that. Till we are effortlessly established in the timeless , we are inevitably in Time, with perhaps brief visits to the timeless. We should see things as they are and what is actually happening to us, rather than be paralysed by being caught in concepts.

Till we are empty of the contents of our consciousness we cannot be effortlessly in the timeless. when we live our life with awareness without accumulation , we move towards the state of What may be called Sahaja Samadhi or Timeless state.

Topic: Theosophy Revisited

Theosophy is not a system of belief, It is open to all the sacred teachings of mankind. Krishnamurti/s teachings are a part of it. K did not say anything new or unique from what the Upanishads , the Buddha, Jesus etc had taught. It was only put in a new language appropriate to the time. It was original having come from the source .

A study of some of the theosophical literature and also Zen , Vedanta or Taoism would certainly help comprehend K" teachings better. Ultimately , one has to see the truth oneself thru awareness and not be conditioned by any teaching including that of Krishnamurti.

Topic: Theosophy Revisited

Krishnamurti spoke tirelessly for 60 years travelling around the world. Is the world a more peaceful place because of this? Is there less disorder. Should we put aside K"s teachings because of that.

What is required is to find order within. Then we will know what to do about the disorder outside if we still perceive it.

Topic: Theosophy Revisited

How can Theosophy be a system of belief when it is open to the study of all religions and to any new source of wisdom. Each individual is unique and has to find his own way being open to learning from life from whatever source. Individuals within an organisation may indulge in their idiosyncracies like handing out diplomas etc. , that is no reflection on the teachings.

The core of all religions is the same. When you go within and find out the truth within oneself , one will be able see this.

Elizabeth A. wrote: But you either continue to accept the bluff and hang on to it or you call the bluff and let go of it, and you can only do one or the other. Which you do will affect the present and the future of humanity. You have to be willing to act.

Topic: The transformation

Who is this entity who chooses to continue or accept the bluff or call the bluff or let go of it. who is this entity who can choose to affect the present and future of humanity. Is there such an entity with choice and volition? Or is it a perception of the illusory nature of the egoself which integrates you with the whole and then the whole operates thru you with its supreme intelligence.

Topic: meditation and transformation

Meditation is a state of being in our natural state. It is not discovering a new me but discarding the false me , thru awareness and perception, which brings us to our Natural state. Meditation is being and not doing, but till the state of being is reached , whatever we do in the name of meditation is invevitably doing. Choiceless awareness of thoughts, feelings, hidden motivesetc in the mirror of relationship is what K recommended. Hope I have made some sense. One has to start with confusion.
