At one time I sold all my worldly possesions to move to and live in Ojai. I ended up camping for 7 months there because it was too expensive to rent. I frequented the Krishnamurti Retreat, Oak Grove School, and several events hosted by the KFA over the course of those magical 7 months. Eventually, my car was sold back in Minnesota and I was wired more money. Sadly, I was burnt. I took a train back to Minnesota and restarted my life there.
Yes,I think its ok to introduce K to people you know. Although one shouldn't be too pushy. Yes I have given books to friends to read at their liesure. I've also given some of my books to the public library to expand their literature.
