Interview Answers

Do you think Krishnamurti was exceptional, or is the transformation he spoke of universally accessible?

Krishnamurti was an exceptional master. No one ever, understood as he did, what the human mind is all about. He also explained it with precision, exposing with perfect accuracy all the tricks and mischief it plays. To whoever was willing to listen. Krishnamurti was impeccable.

What future do you foresee for Krishnamurti's works? Do you think they will grow in importance or will they just gradually die away?

Due to the seriousness necessary in order to follow the teaching, it is doubtful that K's work ever turns mainstream. Not many are interested in something so far away from the idea of entertaining.

How do you personally go about exploring the Krishnamurti's teachings (through personal study, dialogues, dvds)?

I was fortunate enough to be present at several Brockwood Park talks. The wonder of K's teachings, is that once you realize it and truly know what was involved, you are free to go your own way. No need to keep repeating readings, or remain as a disciple. Gratitude is what remains.

How important do you consider group dialogue to be in understanding the more subtle points of Krishnamurti's message?

As long as at least one of the participants has a clear comprehension of the nature of K's teachings. Plus, the talent to demonstrate it to others, it'll be important. However, it is doubtful that many know what is really crucial with the teachings. The essence of it, which is dying to the past and freedom from the dictatorship of memory and conditioning.

Do you think it advisable to introduce Krishnamurti to people you know? Have you ever done it and if yes, what are your experiences?

In order to be introduced to K's teachings, one must be seriously aware of the urgency for a complete change. This awareness is indeed the very beginning of a revolution in one's life. Otherwise you will lack the absolute diligence and attention required.
